This class is for anyone who would like to learn how to sew whether you feel that sewing is a good skill to know or if you or your child has a strong interest in sewing, designing and creating with fabrics! This class will cover machine use and care, some hand sewing techniques, fabric preparation and information on sewing tools and uses. Take home practice will be encouraged in order to progress and you will make complete projects!

WHEN:
Meets over three sessions, 2 hrs. each
Includes 1 hour FREE Open Studio after each class (under 16, with parent supervision)
MATERIALS: Sewing machine (bring your own to learn on or call to reserve one of our Babylock machines), sewing scissors, measuring gauge of any type, thread and bobbin. Fabric will be supplied.
Every new SEW WHAT student will receive a class binder used to build class & reference material and store your practice work. This binder will carry you into the advanced classes so you can continue to build on your sewing skills!
Take home instruction will be provided to encourage continued practice.
